Covid Safety at Christmas in Leicester Square

9th Dec 2021

To make the Spiegeltent as safe as we can for you, our performers and our staff we are now asking customers to present proof of a negative PCR or Lateral Flow test on entry to La CliqueThe result must be logged here prior to entry -

A per government guidance, masks in and around the Spiegeltent continue to be mandatory, unless visitors display a valid exemption. We also encourage the use of the hand sanitiser readily available in the venue.

Anyone without a negative test or a valid Vaccine Passport (where a test is unavailable) will not be allowed in the Spiegeltent.

If you have Covid or are feeling unwell, please stay home and contact to arrange a transfer of tickets. Please note, we do not offer exchanges for refusal to take a Lateral Flow test.

These measures are in place to keep our audience, performers and staff safe.

What do I need to show to get into La Clique?

All customers over the age of 18 must demonstrate documentation of a negative Lateral Flow or PCR test – including those who are fully vaccinated. The test must have been completed within 48hrs of the performance, and visitors will need to show an NHS email or text message to prove their negative result.

All attendees are required to wear a face covering unless medically exempt. You may remove your face covering temporarily to enjoy your drink. La Clique staff will also wear face coverings unless medically exempt.

What do I do if I don’t have a Lateral Flow test available?

The Leicester Square Spiegeltent will have a small amount of Lateral Flow test available for customers who have not completed their test. You will be asked to complete this test on site and show the results, as per the instructions, before entering the venue. If you arrive late and this process is still ongoing as the show begins, we will seat you at the next possible break in the show. Where there are no tests available, proof of double vaccination status from the NHS app will be accepted.

We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the show to avoid delays.

If there are no tests available, we will accept a valid Vaccine Passport as proof of vaccination status.

What happens if I do not wish to take a Lateral Flow test?

For the safety of everyone in the venue, we require a negative result to enter. If you are unwilling to show this, you will be refused entry into the show and will not be eligible for a refund.

What happens if my lateral flow is positive?

If your test if positive or you are feeling unwell do not come to the show. Please contact to arrange a transfer of tickets to another performance. You will be refused entry into the show with a positive result.

What is Christmas in Leicester Square implementing for Covid safety?

Christmas in Leicester Square is following all government guildlines. Masks are not required to enter the outdoor market, however customers are encouraged to wear masks as much as possible. Hand sanitisers are readily available around the festival and we recommend customers use these regularly during their visit. Our staff will be wearing masks unless medically exempt and the festival site is consistently cleaned.

Why are you implementing this outside of Government guidelines?
Due to the intimacy of La Clique, we are implementing this to keep our customers, staff and performers safe and allow the show to run without disruptions.

Here's more that we're doing to help keep everyone safe, and what you can do to help.

These are in line with Government advice and the requirements of local health authorities.

In line with Government guidelines, all customers and staff are now required to wear masks inside the venue whilst watching the show. This includes sitting in your seats and in the foyer bar, unless you are drinking.

We will be operating at cashless site.

For tickets purchased online, e-tickets are preferred. As required, tickets are available to be collected at the Box Office.

Please regularly use the hand sanitising stations throughout the site

Feeling Unwell with COVID-19 symptoms?
If you test positive for COVID-19 or are required to isolate due to close contact with a COVID-19 infected individual or are requested to do so by the NHS Track and Trace app, do not come to site.

If this happens to you, please email and we will organise an exchange for another performance in the festival!

Underbelly has been awarded the Visit England ‘We’re Good to Go’ Industry Standard mark.
